Current Obsession: Fruit Stickers
An ode to my fruit sticker collection that I started in 1994.

This month’s Current Obsession is a special one! It’s actually a forever obsession, and an ode to my 31 year old fruit sticker collection. I know, fruit stickers have become very trendy lately, but I’d still like to give them a bit more attention here. I’ve been collecting them since the age of four, and they’ve always had a special place in my (he)art.
I started collecting fruit stickers at one of our family summer holidays, probably in Portugal, Italy or France. I have memories of walking through big European supermarkets with tons of stickers on my fingers. My creative parents knew right away that this was a the start of a serious collection, so they gave me a little notebook to collect them in. A few years later, as a perfectionist teenager, I cut all of them out and rearranged them by colour in a new booklet. Yes, I’m a typical Virgo, and I’m not ashamed of it!
